The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) at San Jac is a student organization that aims at development leadership, academic, and career skills among its members. Designed for students interested in business, entrepreneurship, and professional development in the real world.
There is an upcoming trip to the University of Texas at Dallas from Mar. 27 to Mar. 28.
“Members will engage in competitions, attend workshops, and partake in ceremonies” states Abhinav Panthi, FBLA president.
The array of events ensures that every participant has the chance to gain valuable insights and practical experience.
San Jac’s FBLA members participate in regional, state, and national FBLA competitions, showcasing their skills in areas like accounting, business communication, and public speaking. The organization hosts workshops and invites industry leaders to speak on career topics, which provides insights into the business world and equips members with practical knowledge about business and networking, and community service opportunities.

Members engage in service projects, helping to foster a sense of social responsibility along with professional development. Networking Opportunities gives students the chance to connect with peers, local business leaders, and potential employers to enhance their professional networks.
“These events foster critical thinking, business strategies, and empower individuals to perform well in the business world,” says Panthi.
One aspects of the FBLA organization is its inclusivity.
FBLA welcomes students from various disciplines, not just those pursuing a degree in business. This approach broadens the appeal of the organization, making it accessible to anyone interested in enhancing their leadership skills and gaining insights into the business landscape, irrespective of their major.
While the deadline to register may have passed for this academic year, prospective members shouldn’t be discouraged. Registration is normally before January with weekly meetings held throughout the semester.
“There are opportunities for interested students to connect with advisors and receive updates about the upcoming activities and events for the next school year,” says Panthi.
Membership benefits that comes with joining FBLA includes skill development, resume building, professional, and leadership opportunities to promote a head start into the real world of business.
