Due to heavy rain impacting the Saratoga Springs region, the New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) has moved Saturday’s turf races to the main track at the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival at Saratoga Race Course.
As a result of the inclement weather, turf races scheduled for Race 3, Race 6 [Grade 2, $300,000 Wonder Again], Race 10 [Grade 3, $300,000 Pennine Ridge] and Race 14 will be contested on the main track
In addition, NYRA has moved the Grade 1, $500,000 Jaipur [Race 9], a “Win and You’re In” for the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint; and the Grade 1, $1 million Resorts World Casino Manhattan [Race 12] to Sunday, when they will be run as Race 12 and 13, respectively. Note that the Resorts World Casino Manhattan will now be contested at nine furlongs on the inner turf rather than the originally scheduled 1 3/16-miles on the Mellon turf.
Please see attached updated menu for wagering and post times on Saturday’s card. The two-day all turf Pick 5 which began on Friday’s program will pay out to ALL on the final three legs scheduled for Saturday’s card.
Sunday’s Closing Day card of the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival is also slated to host the Grade 3, $175,000 Soaring Softly in Race 7 and the $150,000 Jersey Girl in Race 9. First post is 12:10 p.m. Eastern. Admission gates will open to the public at 11 a.m.
