GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Lacrosse team (15-3) learned that they will head to Boulder, Colorado for the first round of the NCAA Tournament, where they will take on the Denver Pioneers (15-3) on Friday, May 8, announced on the NCAA Selection show on Sunday night.
The Gators will take on Denver at 9 p.m. EDT/7 p.m. MDT following the game between the No. 8 seed Colorado and Jacksonville at 6 p.m. EDT/4 p.m. MDT.
This is the Gators 15th overall and 15th straight NCAA Tournament appearance. This is the first time that the Gators have not been seeded in a NCAA tournament since 2024.
The Gators hold a 19-14 all-time record in the NCAA Tournament and have reached seven quarterfinals (2011, ’13, ’14, ’18, ’21, ’22) and three finals fours (2012, ’24, ’25). They are 14-0 all-time in the first round.
Florida enters the NCAA Tournament 15-3 and holds a record 7-0 record all-time against Denver, and is 2-0 all-time in the NCAA Tournament. The last time the two teams faced off was May 5, 2018 in the Big East Conference Tournament.
