Grapevine-based managed IT and cloud services provider Buchanan Technologies has acquired Technology Spa, a Dallas-based cloud orchestration and enterprise productivity solutions provider.

“Technology Spa has a proven track record of expanded cloud orchestration capabilities and best-in-class cloud assessment tools,” Jim Buchanan, founder and CEO of Buchanan Technologies, said in a statement.

Combining the two teams would further enhance their cloud capabilities, he said, adding, “Together, we will continue to deliver a robust and scalable suite of services to our valued customers, enabling them to fully leverage the cloud and stay ahead of the latest industry trends.”

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Technology Spa was founded 20 years ago as a hosting services division of a digital marketing company and became a stand-alone business in 2015. The company helps businesses navigate digital transformation by specializing in cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365, AWS, and ServiceNow.

Buchanan Technologies said the acquisition will help fuel its expansion and support its managed IT leadership while the company continues to grow as a “premier provider of outsourced, managed cloud solutions.”

‘Broadens our scope significantly’

“Joining the Buchanan Technologies family broadens our scope significantly by providing us with a diversified platform to offer our cloud-based expertise,” Doug Levy, founder and CEO of Technology Spa, said in a statement.

Levy added that the companies are looking forward to combining their strengths and “achieving great accomplishments together,” with a continued focus on excellence.

“Our team remains dedicated to delivering unparalleled cloud solutions and exceeding customer expectations,” he said.

Buchanan Technologies said it is backed by Lightview Capital.

Technology Spa was represented by IT ExchangeNet, a leader in smaller mid-market IT mergers and acquisitions focusing on leading channel partners, VARs, MSPs, and MSSPs.

Established in 1988, Buchanan Technologies offers innovative IT services and customized solutions to mid-tier and enterprise-level organizations across the United States, Canada, and Europe.
