FOUR PEOPLE WERE INJURED, TWO OF THEM STABBED. THE INJURIES NOT LIFE THREATENING. THE INCIDENT THAT HAPPENED OVER THERE WAS WAS THE RESULT OF A ROAD RAGE ON THE STREET, AND SOME PEOPLE TRIED TO INTERVENE AND IT ESCALATED AND SPILLED OVER INTO YOU KNOW, POTENTIAL STABBING THERE. IT’S THE SECOND ACT OF VIOLENCE THIS WEEK IN THE AREA MONDAY NIGHT NEAR THE THE BREWER FOUNTAIN, A MAN WAS SHOT. THE ALLEGED GUNMAN IS NOW IN CUSTODY. THAT CORNER OF THE COMMON POPULAR WITH TOURISTS STARTING THE FREEDOM TRAIL, ALTERCATIONS, VIOLENCE, ASSAULTS. CITY COUNCILOR ED FLYNN ORGANIZED A MEETING THIS AFTERNOON WITH RESIDENTS AND BUSINESS LEADERS NEED A STRONGER POLICE PRESENCE AND ENFORCEMENT TO DETER ANY CRIMINAL ACTIVITY. RESIDENTS ECHOED THAT CALL, BUT ALSO HOPE THE CITY WILL ADD MORE POSITIVE ACTIVITIES IN THE AREA. LIKE OTHER PARTS OF THE COMMON. A group of people who were trying to intervene in an apparent road rage incident were stabbed and beaten on Boston Common late Thursday night, police said.The victims said they were walking across Park Street near Tremont Street just before midnight when they saw two groups of people involved in a road rage incident and intervened.The two groups attacked the victims as they tried to stop the incident, police said.Two people suffered stab wounds, one victim suffered a broken wrist, and the fourth victim was punched in the face, police said.No arrests have been made.Hani Gad, owner of Lambert’s Marketplace, located near the Common, said crime at the corner of Park and Tremont is out of control.”We need clean up for the safety, not only for us here, but for the people coming as visitors,” Gad said.
