Some people enjoy going aisle by aisle through H-E-B, individually picking out everything they need on their grocery runs. Others prefer staying in the comfort of their cars as a Curbside member delivers everything straight to their car trunk. For thousands of shoppers in Central Texas, they’re about to get an even better shopping experience.
H-E-B is investing more than $1 million toward upgrading Curbside services at two Austin shops and another in Hutto. Details are limited, but three separate filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) show Texas’ No. 1 grocer aims on providing upgraded services for countless families by next spring.
The Austin H-E-Bs at 1801 E. 51st St., Austin, TX 78723 and 8801 S. Congress Ave., Austin, TX 78745 will be undergoing minor remodels of $412,000 and $190,000 respectively. Both upgrades are expected to begin construction by November 9 and are aiming to be finished by April 9, 2027, according to the TDLR filings.
Meanwhile in Hutto, 28 miles north of Austin, the H-E-B at 5000 Gattis School Road, Hutto, TX 78634 is set to receive a $519,000 remodel. That project is expected to begin construction on November 16 and wrap up by April 9, 2027, just like the Austin remodels. Those timelines are tentative as all TDLR filings are subject to change without notice.
H-E-B confirmed all three filings are for minor remodels but had no additional information to share.
