Hall of Fame Luncheon
Date: Oct. 3, 2025 | 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Pike’s Waterfront Lodge
 



The Alaska Nanooks will celebrate the newest members of their Hall of Fame with an induction luncheon scheduled for Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, at Pike’s Waterfront Lodge. The luncheon will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will honor nine individual inductees along with one team.

Tickets are available to the public for $50 per person or $500 for a reserved table. Tickets can be purchased online through Etix at this link.

2025 Alaska Nanooks Hall of Fame Inductees:

  • 2011 Women’s Cross Country Team – The first Alaska team to qualify for the NCAA Division II Championships, finishing 17th nationally after a top-four showing at the West Region meet.
  • Peter Alden (Cross Country/Nordic Skiing, 1987-93) – The first Nanook to earn All-America honors in cross country, also an NCAA Skiing Championships qualifier.
  • Sam Harthun (Volleyball, 2012-15) – Alaska’s all-time kills leader with 1,513, GNAC Freshman of the Year in 2012 and a three-time First Team All-GNAC selection.
  • Bente Heller (Swimming, 2010-14) – Alaska’s first individual NCAA champion, winning the 100 backstroke in 2013; earned 14 All-America honors in her career.
  • Don Jamieson (Hockey, 1981-85) – Converted forward who became a cornerstone defenseman, later inspiring the annual Don Jamieson Unsung Hero Award.
  • Victoria Jones (Swimming, 2013-17) – Six-time NCAA All-American and 11-time All-PCSC honoree, a leader in backstroke and relay events.
  • Russ Knapp (Hockey, 1966-69) – Early-era goaltender and longtime program steward, honored with the William R. Cashen Service Award for contributions to Nanooks athletics.
  • Margot Lucchessi (Swimming, 2011-15) – A 13-time NCAA All-American and two-time national runner-up, she won four straight PCSC titles in the 100 butterfly.
  • Darryl Lewis, Sr. (Basketball, 1985-87) – A two-year standout forward who scored 829 career points and averaged 15.1 per game, also serving as team captain.
  • Keith Street (Hockey, 1985-88) – Prolific scorer with 157 career points in just three seasons, namesake of the Nanooks’ top scorer award.

The annual Hall of Fame luncheon recognizes individuals and teams who have made significant contributions to Nanooks athletics. Fans, alumni and community members are invited to join in celebrating the achievements and history of Alaska Athletics.
