It’s an L.A. fall, complete with wildly oscillating weather and temperature changes. And it looks like Angelenos should start preparing for rain.
According to the National Weather Service, rain is predicted to hit Los Angeles this Thursday and could stick around through the weekend.
Temperatures are already heating up across the state, with some areas around L.A. reporting weather in the 80s and 90s on Monday. This is partially due to the Santa Ana Winds, though NWS points out they’re weak and are not expected to significantly heighten wildfire risk due to the accompanying high humidity.
These rising temperatures are just the warm-up for the storm. Temperatures are expected to dip on Wednesday, with the storm predicted to hit Southern California on Thursday. 1 to 2 inches of rain are expected to fall in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon and evening, with varying levels of intensity across the state.

NWS advises Angelenos to expect travel delays, roadway flooding, increases in creeks and stream flows, and a chance for flash floods and debris flowing in burn areas.
