MONROE, Michigan – At 9 a.m. outside a beige brick building that looks more like a medical clinic or office than a marijuana dispensary, NAR Cannabis has just opened and its parking lot is busy – including many cars with Ohio plates, mostly from Lucas County.
Stepping inside, customers feel a sharp contrast of air conditioning from the muggy heat, take in the earthy-diesel scent of marijuana, and line up to show their IDs to employees behind a counter in the waiting room, proving they’re over age 21. Then they wait to be buzzed in.
