The arts are an intrinsic part of the Hispanic heritage and culture, and for this reason, the Fishers Arts Council (FAC) holds an Open Call for regional artists interested in showcasing the richness of Hispanic American talent through their art. Visual artists must have a Hispanic background. Frances Ruiz, Mixed Media Artist, and Eric Salazar, “The Clarinet Guy,” are serving as advisors on the exhibit.

Traditional arts are encouraged but all subjects are welcome. FAC reserves the right to select works appropriate for younger audiences. 2-D works in any medium must be prepped with a wire, weigh no more than 50 pounds, and not exceed more than 60 inches in any direction. 3-D work is permitted, but only five pieces can be accepted. Size limitations vary; submit your 3D work and FAC and the artist can discuss possibilities. Artists who are interested will be interviewed during a reception.

After evaluating all submissions, a diverse group of Hispanic visual artists will be chosen to showcase their art pieces at the FAC Hub Gallery located at Hamilton County Community Foundation, 11810 Technology Drive, Fishers, from July 1 to Oct. 3, 2025.

The deadline to submit work is Friday, June 20. Submissions can be made at FishersArtsCouncil.org/submit. Details on the exhibit can be found at FishersArtsCouncil.org/blog.
