The Beverly is a seven-story development offering residents high-end amenities and unmatched convenience.

HOUSTON — Houston’s Tanglewood neighborhood is about to redefine upscale living with a new luxury condominium development that promises a rare feature in the city’s housing market: built-in, whole-home generators.

Rising at 5010 Longmont Drive, between Sage Road and Post Oak Lane, The Beverly is a seven-story development offering residents high-end amenities and unmatched convenience. Each residence comes equipped with a personal generator, along with a backup for the building, ensuring that homeowners remain comfortable and powered even during severe storms or extended outages.

Nancy Almodovar, CEO and co-founder of Nan and Company Properties, said the concept immediately caught her attention.

“I fell in love with the concept, the location,” Almodovar said. “I have not seen anything like it in 20 years.”

The Beverly promises luxurious features including private elevator entrances, 10-foot ceilings, sweeping terraces, and breathtaking city views.

“It’s a lock-and-leave, and you have 360-degree views from every angle of your home,” Almodovar said.

Developer Alan Taghdisi of RAMA Companies highlighted the practical benefits of the generators.

“We’ve worked with CenterPoint to bury the power lines underground. With Houston’s storms, downed trees often knock out power. That won’t happen here,” Taghdisi said.

Generators are increasingly popular in Houston’s housing market. According to the Houston Association of Realtors, 518 single-family homes sold with a generator listed as a feature in 2018. By 2023, that number had climbed to more than 1,641, and through early August 2025, over 1,535 homes with generators had already sold.

Almodovar notes that The Beverly is designed for a specific clientele, specifically empty nesters, those downsizing from larger homes in areas like Memorial or River Oaks, and individuals relocating to Houston.

“That’s the customer who’s knocking on our door right now,” Taghdisi said.

Units start at $3.5 million, and construction is expected to be completed by the second quarter of next year. With its combination of luxury, location, and resilience, The Beverly aims to set a new standard for upscale living in Houston.

“This is not your average condo. This is not something that will be duplicated again in Houston anytime soon, specifically not in this Tanglewood area,” Taghdisi said.
