According to TickPick, with the Knicks taking a 3-1 series lead, 44.3% of all tickets purchased for Game 5 have come from New York and New Jersey. By comparison, just 11.2% of purchases have come from Texas, followed by California at 10.7%.
That’s practically a New York takeover, though it’s not surprising as it would be significantly cheaper to fly to San Antonio, book a hotel, eat well, go to Game 5 fly back to New York than simply attend a potential Game 6 at Madison Square Garden.
With the Spurs backed against a wall, the time is now for San Antonio fans to attempt and take back home court advantage. With the game scheduled for tomorrow, only limited tickets are still available.
