As baseball fans increasingly have to search for their team’s games on multiple cable channels and streaming platforms, all 15 of Major League Baseball’s games on Sunday, July 5, will be televised on NBC or Peacock.

On what the network is billing as “Star-Spangled Sunday,” NBC and Peacock will broadcast the 12:30 p.m. ET matchup between the New York Mets and Atlanta Braves, followed by the 7 p.m. ET game featuring the San Diego Padres at the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The other 13 games on MLB’s schedule for Sunday will be available on Peacock. Those matchups include a first-place battle in the AL Central between the Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Guardians, and the Chicago Cubs facing the St. Louis Cardinals in an NL Central clash.

“It really has required a ton of communication, reaching out to every local executive producer, doing deals with the announcers that work with those teams.,” NBC Sports producer Rob Hyland told Newsday’s Anthony Rieber.

“I’ve never been a part of something like this,” he added. “I’ve worked on a dozen Olympic Games, and those require a ton of communication. … I would say it’s similar to the Olympics.”

“MLB Sunday Leadoff” and “Sunday Night Baseball” bookend NBC coverage

The Mets-Braves game will be NBC’s “MLB Sunday Leadoff” broadcast with Matt Vasgersian calling play-by-play with Braves Hall of Famer Andruw Jones and former Mets infielder Todd Zeile providing analysis.

Ashley ShahAhmadi will host the pregame show with analyst Anthony Rizzo. Rizzo will also be part of the game broadcast for the “Inside the Pitch” feature.

The Padres-Dodgers matchup will be the network’s “Sunday Night Baseball” showcase with Jason Benetti on play-by-play with Dodgers analyst Orel Hershiser and MLB analyst Jake Peavy doing color commentary.

Pregame coverage will be hosted by Ahmed Fareed. CC Sabathia will also be part of the show as an analyst, in addition to providing “Inside the Pitch” commentary during the game.

Peacock subscribers will also be able to watch up to four games at the same time with the platform’s multiview feature, beginning with the two games scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (Pirates-Nationals, Orioles-Reds) and running through the evening’s Padres-Dodgers matchup.

Fans who don’t subscribe to Peacock but have YouTube TV or Xfinity will have access to the MLB broadcasts on NBC Sports Network. NBCSN Extra is available on YouTube TV.
