IKEA U.S. has announced plans to open a new small-format store in Phoenix in early 2026, expanding its presence in Arizona. The announcement came alongside the opening of the IKEA Scottsdale Plan & order point with Pick-up, which began welcoming customers just last month.

The future Phoenix store will be located at the Village Square II shopping center, 4643 E. Cactus Road, just southwest of East Cactus Road and North Tatum Boulevard. It will be the third IKEA location in the state, joining the full-size IKEA Tempe and the new Scottsdale Plan & order point.

“We are thrilled to offer Phoenix metro area residents more ways to shop and experience IKEA,” said Javier Quiñones, CEO and chief sustainability officer of IKEA U.S. “These new locations highlight our commitment to bring IKEA closer to people and make it easier and more affordable to access our home furnishing products and solutions.”

The Phoenix store will cover approximately 75,000 square feet and feature about 3,000 products available for immediate take-away. The selection will include home furnishing accessories and about 75 small furniture items. Larger products, such as sofas and beds, will be available to order online for delivery or store pickup.

Although smaller than a traditional IKEA, the Phoenix store will include fully furnished showrooms that showcase local living solutions tailored to the Phoenix community. It will also include a Swedish Deli with hot and cold food options, such as meatballs, veggie dogs and cinnamon buns. The location will also feature an As-is Department offering discounted or gently used merchandise as part of IKEA’s sustainability efforts.

The IKEA Scottsdale Plan & order point with Pick-up officially opened on May 7 at The Promenade shopping center, 16451 N. Scottsdale Road. This new concept store spans 2,161 square feet and is designed to help customers plan and order furnishing solutions for more complex projects, including kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms. While products are not available for same-day take-home, store staff assist with ordering and arranging either delivery or scheduled pickup at the location.

“I’m beyond excited to welcome customers to IKEA Scottsdale and, in the future, IKEA Phoenix,” said Kori Thorstenson, market manager for IKEA Tempe. “We are bringing the IKEA experience closer to our customers, making shopping easier and meeting them where they live, work and shop.”
