INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indiana Latino Expo is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a series of virtual events, highlighting the contributions and impact of the Latino community in central Indiana.
The Expo, which has shifted to a virtual format this year due to unspecified challenges, aims to provide resources and support to the Latino community, including access to health, education, and legal services.
The Indiana Latino Expo is not only a celebration but also a platform to connect the Latino community with essential services. This year, the Expo is focusing on virtual resources to help individuals access health, education, and legal services, as well as business opportunities.
In addition to the virtual Expo, the organization hosts events such as the Mayor’s Breakfast, which kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month, and the Indiana-Latino Gala scheduled for December.
A key initiative of the Expo is the Access Leadership Program, which mentors young Latino leaders aged 21 to 28, helping them to develop their leadership skills and engage more deeply with the community.
The Indiana Latino Expo continues to play a vital role in empowering the Latino community in Indiana, fostering leadership, and providing critical resources, even as it adapts to a virtual format.
