What should fans expect in 2027 and 2030 World Cup?

In this episode we analyze Spain’s win over Argentina, and look ahead to the next women’s and men’s world cup.

Inter Miami has announced the signing of Brazil international midfielder Casemiro, but MLS is also investigating the club amid claims of tampering.

The 34-year-old has joined Inter Miami on a contract through the 2027 sprint season, with an option to extend through 2029.

Immediately after the signing was confirmed, though, MLS announced that an investigation was underway after the LA Galaxy had claimed Casemiro’s discovery rights.

“Major League Soccer is reviewing a tampering allegation against Inter Miami CF. The league is gathering all relevant information and will refrain from further comment until the review is complete,” a statement said.

The league added that the Galaxy and Inter Miami had reached a settlement over Casemiro’s discovery rights.

“While Inter Miami CF and the LA Galaxy have reached a settlement for the Discovery Priority to sign Casemiro, the terms will be released upon conclusion of the tampering investigation,” MLS said.

In order to prevent clubs from bidding against one another for big-name talent from abroad, the league requires teams to acquire discovery rights. Once a team has those rights, it may then negotiate with the player.

Casemiro moves to Inter Miami

Lionel Messi and Co. will get an experienced international to add to their midfield as they look to win back-to-back MLS Cup titles.

Casemiro is coming off a strong campaign with Manchester United, where he played three seasons after joining from Real Madrid in 2022.

The São Paulo native spent eight seasons with Madrid, where he developed a reputation as one of the best holding midfielders in the world. During his time in Madrid, Casemiro won five UEFA Champions League titles, three UEFA Super Cups, three FIFA Club World Cups, three La Liga championships, one Copa del Rey, and three Spanish Super Cups.

On the international level, Casemiro has earned 91 caps for Brazil, starting all five games for his country at the 2026 World Cup.

“I’m very proud to welcome Casemiro and his family to Inter Miami,” said Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham.

“He is a person and a player that I have admired for a long time. He is a winner who has achieved so much in the game and after such an incredible career with Real Madrid and Manchester United I’m delighted that he’s decided to make Miami his next home.”
