Israel Adesanya has zero interest in UFC Freedom 250.

The UFC will hit the White House lawn June 14 with a lightweight title-unification bout between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje serving as the main event. In the co-headliner, Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane square off for the interim heavyweight belt.

The card features other notable names such as Sean O’Malley and Michael Chandler, but Adesanya (24-5 MMA, 13-5 UFC) is not a part of it. While he may have been interested in the past, the former UFC middleweight champion explains why that’s no longer the case.

“I was only interested because at the time, the world was different. But now, with the way things are, it’s not really something that I’m (interested in),” Adesanya told Complex News. “Yeah, I won’t even go and watch it there. I’ll watch it from the comfort of my own house in New Zealand.”

Adesanya returns after an over-year long layoff to take on Joe Pyfer (15-3 MMA, 6-1 UFC) in Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 271 (Paramount+) main event at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle.
