Kevin Durant has agreed to a contract extension that could keep the four-time scoring champion and four-time Olympic gold medalist with the Houston Rockets through the 2027-28 season, a person with knowledge of the deal said Sunday.
The second year of the extension is at Durant’s option, according to the person who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the Rockets had yet to announce that the signing had been finalized.
