LANCASTER, Pa. — The Lancaster community celebrated Hispanic culture at the San Juan Bautista Hispanic Festival Wednesday evening.
In its 41st year, the four-day festival brings local Hispanic musicians and foods together to represent Latin America in Lancaster County.
Organizers say the festival allows people familiarize themselves with Latin America and the Hispanic culture.
“Come and tour the world through food,” said Father Luis Rodriguez with the San Juan Bautista Catholic Church. “Come and tour the world and enjoy some time. Come out of your comfort zone and mix with the rest of the population.”
The event is San Juan Bautista’s primary fundraiser for the year, as it raises money to support community programs from the catholic church.
The festival continues through Saturday night at the San Juan Bautista Church in Lancaster.
