The Las Vegas Sphere opened its FY 2025 “losing over” $125M in three months and posting “its lowest revenue since opening late last year,” according to Kyle Chouinard of the LAS VEGAS SUN. Over that time, the $2.3B live entertainment venue “lost over” $500M dollars. During the most recent quarter, the Sphere earned $172M in revenue, $24M “shy of the previous quarter’s total.” The Sphere reported $13M in revenue from sponsorship, signage, suite licenses and the “exosphere,” the screen wrapping around the outside of the building. Madison Square Garden Entertainment Exec Chair & CEO James Dolan said that the “vision for the Sphere has always included a global network of venues,” including one in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, announced last month. Dolan: “We are confident in the opportunities ahead for the Sphere and believe we are well-positioned to drive long-term shareholder value” (LAS VEGAS SUN, 11/13).
