McAllen, Texas – On the eve of the Midterm elections, National Latino organizations joined Rio Grande Valley community leaders, content creators and voters for community engagement and voter mobilization.

The national organizations were League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), UnidosUS Action Fund, Mi Familia Vota and Latino Victory.

The groups wanted to highlight the power of Latino voters and their role in shaping the future of Texas and the nation, especially when it comes to issues such as the rising cost of living, economic opportunity, jobs, housing affordability and the future of working families.

Among the leaders on the swing through the Valley were Juan Proaño, CEO of LULA, Janet Murguía, president and CEO of UnidosUS Action Fund, Hector Sanchez Barba, president and CEO of Mi Familia Vota, and Katharine Pichardo, president and CEO of Latino Victory Fund.
