Hoboken, N.J. – Pitcher Leo Bristow, formerly of the Stevens Institute of Technology baseball team, will continue his playing career professionally after signing a contract in Germany.
Bristow, who pitched at Stevens from 2020–2024 before transferring to California Lutheran University in 2025, inked a deal with Mainz Athletics of the Deutsche Baseball Liga. Competing in Germany’s top league, Bristow will look to help guide Mainz to its third national championship.
The right-hander recorded 104 strikeouts over 104.2 innings during his time on Castle Point, adding five victories. In his graduate season at Cal Lutheran, Bristow earned Second Team All-Region 10 honors from D3baseball.com and was named Second Team All-SCIAC after posting a 5-3 record with 73 strikeouts.
On the international stage, Bristow has represented Sweden, including an appearance in the 2025 European Baseball Championship. He also competed for Sweden in the 2019 European Baseball Championship, making a start against the Czech Republic.
