Following a highly successful debut MMA showcase in August 2025 at the Throwdown Cornhole Festival, Throwdown Productions is proud to announce its second live professional MMA fight event, once again partnering with Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) to bring elite mixed martial arts action to the Ventura Fairgrounds on Thursday, February 26, 2026. The event will be filmed for VICE TV, adding national exposure to an already high-profile night of combat sports.
Building on the momentum of its first fight event, Throwdown Productions continues to expand its live sports and entertainment offerings, delivering world-class sport experiences to Ventura County.
LFA is widely recognized as the leading developmental league for future UFC stars, having launched the careers of numerous top-ranked fighters. The Ventura event will feature a high-caliber fight card showcasing rising prospects, international talent, and seasoned veterans inside the cage.
The main event will feature long-time LFA veteran Rafael “Mulisha” do Nascimento (11–3) taking on dangerous Japanese standout Shuya Kamikubo (16–2–1) in a bantamweight showdown that pits experience against international pedigree.
Nascimento has been a staple of the LFA bantamweight division, known for his durability, well-rounded skill set, and consistency against high-level opposition. With multiple appearances inside the LFA cage, “Mulisha” has built a reputation as one of the promotion’s most reliable veterans, capable of pushing the pace and breaking opponents over the course of a hard-fought battle.
Standing across from him will be Kamikubo, one of Japan’s most accomplished bantamweight competitors. With 16 professional victories across respected international promotions, Kamikubo brings a polished striking arsenal, strong grappling fundamentals, and championship-level experience. This bout marks a major opportunity for the Japanese standout to make a statement on American soil against a proven LFA mainstay.
