LIV Golf starts the second half of its 2024 schedule this weekend at its inaugural event at the Golf Club of Houston. Thirteen teams are competing through Sunday for a $25 million purse.
Gleeks GC started out Round 2 with a three-stroke lead over Torque GC. They’d drop back to second though due to an impressive day from Fireballs GC. David Puig and Abraham Ancer each posted a six-under-66 with 13 birdies and just one bogey combined. Fireballs ended Day 2 of the event with a four-stroke lead over Gleeks.
Puig moved into a four-way tie for first following Round 2 at 10-under with the Gleeks’ Adrian Meronk, Torque GC’s Carlos Ortiz, and Crushers GC’s Paul Casey. Puig, Ancer, and Smash GC’s Jason Kokrak tied for the best individual score of the day at 6-under.
