The latest batch of appointments and promotions in the live entertainment industry includes significant moves at Live Nation Latin America, Roundhouse, Olympia and Cirque du Soleil.

Live Nation

Live Nation’s president of Latin America touring Bruce Moran will transition into a new role as executive chairman for the territory, the company has announced.

In this position, Moran will focus on strategic oversight and long-term growth initiatives across the region, while continuing to support Live Nation’s expanding presence throughout Latin America.

Moran has been with Live Nation since 2006, following his tenure at Mexico’s Ocesa, and is credited with playing a pivotal role in shaping LN’s touring business across Latin America.

The firm says Moran’s transition to executive chairman “reflects its continued investment in the Latin American market, while ensuring the company’s touring efforts remain aligned with its long-term strategic objectives”.

Under Moran’s leadership, Live Nation’s Latin America touring division has experienced significant growth, with the number of shows in the region growing year over year. It has staged more than 170 concerts promoted in 2025 alone, including stadium performances by Shakira, Stray Kids, Oasis, Kendrick Lamar, Bad Bunny and Dua Lipa.

LN increased its ownership stake in Ocesa to 75% in July.

Roundhouse

London’s Roundhouse has appointed Jenny Mollica as its new CEO after Marcus Davey CBE stepped down following 27 years at the helm.

Mollica is currently CEO of English National Opera (ENO) and the London Coliseum, having joined ENO in 2020 as director of strategy and engagement. She also led the company’s acclaimed learning and participation programme ENO Engage.

Previously, Mollica spent over a decade at the Barbican and Guildhall School of Music & Drama, serving as director of creative learning.

“I am honoured to be entrusted with leading the Roundhouse as its next chief executive,” she says. “The opportunity to shape the future of an organisation that I have long admired for its deep roots in artistic innovation, social impact and sector-leading youth engagement is, quite simply, too irresistible a calling not to answer. It has been a privilege to lead ENO through a significant period in its history, and I am incredibly proud of all that we have achieved.

“I look forward to working with the Roundhouse chair Simon Turner, board and team to lead this iconic institution into its next chapter, building on the extraordinary legacy of Marcus Davey, whose visionary leadership has been nothing short of inspirational.”

Davey will continue in his role until Mollica starts as CEO in 2026 after a period of handover.

“Jenny was selected from an outstanding field of candidates, and I am very much looking forward to working closely with her, to drive forward our mission to empower young people, expand our artistic programme and further develop our fundraising and commercial operations,” says Roundhouse chair Simon Turner.

Olympia

Michael Volkert has been named CEO of London’s Olympia Estates, ahead of the phased opening of its new venues next year.

Volkert most recently served as chief executive of Crown Resorts in Melbourne, Australia, and brings over two decades of leadership experience spanning resorts and hospitality destinations from Las Vegas and Macau to Singapore and Melbourne.

The transformed Olympia will be home to a new 3,800 music venue run by AEG Presents and a 1,575-seat theatre operated by Trafalgar Entertainment, as well as 30 restaurants, bars and eateries, two new hotels, a boutique gym and office space, among other facilities.

Volkert will lead the estate’s team and oversee Olympia as it transitions from development to live operations, working closely with venue operators across the site.

“Olympia is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build a destination that captures global attention, right in the heart of one of the world’s most exciting cities,” he says. “With the opening now on the horizon, I’m looking forward to getting stuck in and to working with Olympia’s talented team and partners to create a place that will transform how people experience entertainment and hospitality.”

Cirque du Soleil

Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group has hired Mark Cornell as president and CEO.

He succeeds Daniel Lamarre, who has served as interim CEO since April and will return to his role as executive vice-chairman of the board. Lamarre will focus on business development for Cirque du Soleil globally.

Cornell brings extensive international experience across the entertainment, arts, and luxury consumer goods sectors, having held senior leadership roles at ATG Entertainment, Moët Hennessy USA, Sotheby’s Europe and Krug Champagne.

“Mark Cornell embodies bold leadership and operational excellence,” reads a statement from Gabriel de Alba and Jim Murren, co-chairs of the board, Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group. “His arrival marks an important milestone in our ambition to strengthen our global reach and enrich the experience we offer to audiences worldwide.”

Cornell will relocate to Montreal, Canada, home to Cirque du Soleil’s international headquarters.

“It is an honour to join Cirque du Soleil, a global icon of creativity and innovation,” he says. “I have admired this brand for many years, not only for its artistic excellence, but for its ability to connect cultures and inspire audiences around the world. I am excited to collaborate with the talented teams in Montreal and across the globe to write the next chapter of this extraordinary journey.”
