The Lightning are holding their “Noche Latina” theme night today and asked local artist Juan Pablo Parra to create a “reimagined design” for the team’s logo. Parra is the “first artist featured in the Lightning’s inaugural local artist series” for this season’s theme nights: Noche Latina, Hockey Talks (Jan. 20), Black Heritage (Feb. 28), Women in Sports (March 10) and Pride Night (March 26). Noche Latina will “celebrate Latino culture through music, art, dance and culinary experiences.” The Lighting Foundation is “donating 220 tickets to local organizations.” Player jerseys “with Parra’s design, as well as logo T-shirts and mystery pucks will be available” online at TBLNocheLatina.givesmart.com starting at 4pm ET (TAMPA BAY TIMES, 10/25).
