Gwinnett’s Hispanic Latino Heritage Month CelebrationLawrenceville – Gwinnett County is inviting local performers, food vendors and artists to participate in this year’s Hispanic Latino Heritage Month celebration Friday, Oct. 9 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center. This annual event highlights the traditions, diverse cultures and creative expressions of Hispanic and Latino Americans in Gwinnett, which is home to one of the largest Hispanic Latino populations in metro Atlanta.

“About a quarter of Gwinnett’s million residents are Hispanic or Latino, and it’s our honor to celebrate the deep roots and cultural significance of our Hispanic Latino population,” said Board of Commissioners Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson. “Local voices, flavors and creative performers and artists are encouraged to apply to help us deliver an unforgettable experience that’s authentic and reflects the richness of our shared community.”

The family-friendly celebration will feature live performances, global cuisine, artisan markets and cultural demonstrations. Prospective exhibitors may include musicians, dancers, storytellers, cultural performers, heritage‑inspired food vendors and artists or makers whose work showcases traditional or contemporary interpretations of heritage.

Online applications are due Tuesday, Sept. 15. Selections will prioritize cultural representation and community impact.
