ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)— After discovering a love for dirty soda, a sweet combination of cream, soda, and flavored syrups, one local man is opening his very own dirty soda-pop shop.

Located at 207 East University Boulevard across from Chick-fil-A, the new dirty soda-pop shop, Sodarrific is expected to open on Friday, November 8, and will serve a variety of dirty sodas, energy drinks, and snacks Monday to Saturday from 7 AM to 10 PM.

Nicholas Crissinger, owner, and general manager of Sodarrific said the idea all began in 2022 while living in Salt Lake City for two years on a mission trip for church. After enjoying dozens of dirty soda shops across the region, Crissinger said he wanted to bring that same joy and flavor back home.

“I lived up in Salt Lake City from 2020 to 2022, and those these kinds of shops are everywhere up there…the second I got there, I went and tried one, and I was like, man, we got to have one of these at home,” Crissinger said. “It serves what we call dirty sodas, so you just take like a soda base, you add whatever flavors, cream, purees, all kinds of stuff to that and make it fancy.”

Crissinger said that after coming back to Odessa, decided to begin making his dream come true. “I was like, the second I get home, I’m gonna try and do that. So it’s been in the making for about four years now, kind of planning stages,” Crissinger said.

Now, after four years, Crissinger said he is ready to share the joy of dirty sodas.

“If you love sodas…we’re gonna have sodas and some baked goods as well from a bakery out in Midland and some energy drink as well, so if you love any of those things and you want to take it up a whole nother level, this would be the place to go,” Crissinger said. “We’ll be wanting to have the best customer service in town, speed, quality, all of that. So it’d be the place to go.”
