Paris Beat Cuero 37-36 Markeljrick Finch finished with 3 TDs and clinched the Victory with a game-ending interception. The Wildcats Finished Pool play with a 2-1 record.

MLB

Veteran slugger J.D. Martinez has received a non-guaranteed contract offer from the Texas Rangers as he navigates through free agency, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post. Martinez appeared in 120 games with the New York Mets during the team’s 2024 campaign, but wasn’t signed as a free agent ahead of the 2025 season. The 37-year-old didn’t seem to be preparing for a potential retirement, though.

The Rangers open a 3-game series vs the Seattle Mariners. Nathan Eovaldi makes his return to the mound after a stint on the IL—Pre-game 6:30, first pitch 7:05 on 1490 AM and 96.3 FM The Legend KPLT.

NBA

The Dallas Mavericks have signed free agent Ryan Nembhard to a two-way contract after he went undrafted in the 2025 NBA draft. Nembhard led the nation in assists last season, averaging 9.8 per game as a senior at Gonzaga and claiming the often-forgotten NCAA assist title.

The 22-year-old was also named first-team All-WCC in both 2024 and 2025. Nembhard, brother of Indiana Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard, began his career at Creighton, where he earned Big East Freshman of the Year honors before transferring to Gonzaga.

He started all 134 games of his college career, never missing a single one.

NHL

Dallas Stars captain Jamie Benn re-signed to a one-year, incentive-laden contract Thursday. Benn’s deal has a base salary of $1 million plus an additional $3 million in potential performance bonuses. He will receive $500,000 each for playing in 20, 30, 50, and 60 games during the 2025-26 season, an additional $500,000 if the Stars win the Western Conference finals, and $500,000 more if the team captures the Stanley Cup.

Deportes locales
