LOS ANGELES – LMU Men’s Basketball has signed Los Angeles prep product JJ Harris. The Windward senior will join the Lions ahead of the 2026-27 season.
I’ve been dreaming of playing college basketball ever since I was a toddler,” said Harris. “All of the hard work I put into my game and my academics is starting to pan out, and I am extremely blessed. During my high school years at Windward I always told myself that I would choose the school that valued me the most. After my senior year, me and my family decided LMU had the program that fit the mold for what I wanted. It feels great to be a part of such an amazing school and a stellar basketball program. I’m excited for what’s ahead — Go Lions!”
Harris is a 6-6 wing with both athleticism and proven shooting ability.
“We are excited to add JJ to our program,” said LMU Head Coach Stan Johnson. “He checks every box we value and believe in at LMU. He’s a high character person from a great family. He owns a tremendous work ethic on the court and in the classroom. His size and athleticism fit the way we want to play. There is no doubt that JJ’s best days as a player are ahead of him and we are elated that he gets to see those days in an LMU uniform.”
Harris is the first signee for the Lions from this class.
