On Sunday, the (2-0) Kansas City Chiefs are on the road at Hard Rock Stadium, taking on the (0-2) Miami Dolphins. Let’s see how the game plays out in Madden NFL 27.

First quarter
The Miami Dolphins received the opening kickoff and battled through adversity, picking up three third-down conversions. De’Von Achane, on a toss-out left, went 26 yards to the Kansas City Chiefs‘ four-yard line.

Chiefs linebacker Drue Tranquill stopped Achane for a four-yard loss, and on third down, Alohi Gilman stopped Achane in the backfield with a tackle for a loss of his own.
The Dolphins would have to settle for a field goal on an extremely promising touchdown drive.
The Chiefs were able to reach midfield, but the drive stalled, and Matt Araiza punted.
End of first quarter: Dolphins 3, Chiefs 0
Second quarter
Patrick Mahomes connected with Rashee Rice, who was able to avoid being tackled and gained 15 yards to scoot across midfield and into Dolphins territory.
Kenneth Walker was involved again, picking up a crucial third-down conversion through the air on a six-yard pass for a first down.

On the next set of downs, the Chiefs were trying to convert on another third-down attempt, but this time, pass rusher Chop Robinson got to Mahomes for a five-yard sack.
Harrison Butker was good on his field goal attempt and tied the game at three apiece.
Malik Willis was chased down by George Karlaftis on third down and sacked for a loss, forcing the Dolphins to punt back to the Chiefs with a minute left in the quarter.
Mahomes found Rice for 19 yards, getting the Chiefs within field-goal range. Butker would drill a 56-yard field goal to give the Chiefs their first lead of the game.
End of second quarter: Chiefs 6, Dolphins 3
Third quarter
Head Coach Andy Reid wanted to continue his slow pace of grinding out first downs. On third-and-6 from the Dolphins’ 29-yard line, Mahomes passed to Tyquan Thornton, who was inches short of converting the first down.

Coach Reid kept the offense on the field on fourth-and-inches. Mahomes, in shotgun, didn’t like what he saw and took off, but was sacked by Zach Sieler for a turnover on downs.
The Dolphins would go three-and-out and punt back to the Chiefs.
End of third quarter: Chiefs 6, Dolphins 3
Fourth quarter
The Chiefs were on the Dolphins’ 7-yard line, facing third down and four. Walker ran a screen pass but was immediately stopped by the Dolphins’ defense.
Butker connected on his third field goal of the afternoon.
On the ensuing drive, Chris Jones sacked Malik Willis for a seven-yard loss to begin the drive. The Dolphins’ offense managed only 14 yards and punted back to the Chiefs.

The Chiefs ran one play before the two-minute warning, and Sieler was able to sack Mahomes for the second time of the day, forcing the Chiefs to punt to the Dolphins with two minutes left.
Stone Cold Jones got to Willis one more time to help seal the door shut on the Dolphins’ offensive afternoon.
