MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WFSB) – A man wanted in connection with a shooting incident in Middletown has been arrested in New York, police announced on Saturday morning.
29-year-old Christopher Lane was wanted in connection with an investigation into a shooting incident that occurred on Westlake Drive on Tuesday night and continued to Wednesday morning.
Lane was taken into custody in Poughkeepsie, New York.
“The arrest was the result of extensive investigative efforts, interagency cooperation and information developed throughout the investigation,” police said.
The investigation last week involved a large police presence and shelter-in-place advisories as officers worked to ensure the safety of the community.
Police thanked law enforcement partners and the community for their assistance during the active investigation.
Officials said additional information is expected to be released.
