Roads throughout Manhattan will close to drivers for the second weekend in a row on Saturday for New York City Summer Streets.
The festivities start at 7 a.m. and last until 3 p.m., allowing pedestrians, cyclists and runners to enjoy open streets from the Brooklyn Bridge up to Inwood.
Along the route and at rest stops, there will be free family-friendly activities, including fitness classes and cultural performances.
This year’s season started on July 25 in Queens and on Staten Island, then returned to Manhattan on Aug. 1.
It will be in Manhattan again on Aug. 15, then conclude on Aug. 22 in Brooklyn and the Bronx.
NYC Summer Streets forecast
New York City remains under a heat advisory until 8 p.m. Saturday. Highs will top out in the upper 80s to low 90s, with heat indices ranging from 95-100-plus degrees.
New Yorkers are encouraged to stay hydrated and exercise caution when spending time outdoors. Hundreds of Cooling Centers are open.
Saturday will start off sunny, but a chance of strong-to-severe storms will return in the afternoon.
The storms will not be as widespread as they were on Friday, however, and they will not be as intense. The main hazards will be flash flooding and damaging winds.

Manhattan street closures for Aug. 8
Parking along the Summer Streets route is restricted from 12 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Due to the Brooklyn Bridge closure, drivers heading into Manhattan will be diverted from Centre Street Exit to either FDR Drive or the Park Row South Exits. All Brooklyn-bound entrances to the bridge will remain accessible, including Chambers Street, Park Row North, Pearl Street and the FDR Drive.
MTA buses will be rerouted. Signs will be posted at affected stops, and more information is available at mta.info.
The following streets will be closed from 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the DOT:
