SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City’s Maven Block Party is back for its seventh year on Saturday, transforming a street into a celebration of women-led businesses, creativity and community. Organizers said this event isn’t just a market, it’s about empowering women entrepreneurs and connecting them with the community.

With more than 100 booths, the block party mixes shopping, food, music and hands-on experiences. But organizers said it’s less about the shopping and more about sparking inspiration.

This year, Maven is teaming up with the Children’s Entrepreneur Market, helping young people learn the power of business and storytelling.

Their hope is that people leave not just with something new in their bag, but with a stronger connection to the community.

The Maven Block Party runs Saturday, Sept. 27, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., right outside Maven in Salt Lake City, 900 S. 200 East. Entry is free.
