Las Vegas is producing exceptional high school basketball talent.
The proof? Four former prep standouts from the valley are currently competing in the NBA and WNBA.
Only one of those players, the Chicago Bulls’ Zach Collins, attended perennial powerhouse Bishop Gorman.
Each December, at the start of the prep season, the Sun compiles its Super Seven: the top seven boys and girls players across Southern Nevada. It’s a who’s who of elite performers, and earning a spot on this prestigious annual list is fiercely competitive.
The alumni roster speaks for itself.
Denver Nuggets guard Julian Strawther was a multiple-time Super Seven honoree during his standout years at Liberty High School through 2020. The same can be said for Coronado great Jaden Hardy, now a guard with the Dallas Mavericks.
The girls’ side is equally impressive.
Liberty graduate Rae Burrell, also a former Super Seven honoree, is now in her fourth WNBA season with the Los Angeles Sparks.
This year’s Super Seven features no shortage of rising stars.
On the girls’ side, Bishop Gorman senior guard Aaliah “Lizzy” Spaight is rated No. 9 overall by Dan Olson’s Collegiate Basketball Report in the class of 2026. In 2024-25, she averaged 19.6 points, 7.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 3.8 steals per game.
Meanwhile, Centennial post player Nation Williams is the nation’s 10th-ranked recruit for the class of 2027. Last season’s state Player of the Year averaged 17 points and 10 rebounds per game while leading Centennial to the state championship.
We spoke with each member of this year’s Super Seven. The interviews are below:
BOYS
Tyler Bright, senior, Bishop Gorman
Averaged nine points and seven rebounds per game in 2023-24 as a sophomore. He played out of state last season.
Curtis Coleman, senior, Mojave
With scholarship offers from Pepperdine and New Mexico already in hand, he averaged 7.5 points per game last season.
Kameron Cooper, junior, Bishop Gorman
The 6-foot-4 forward, who averaged 12 points and five rebounds per game last season, is arguably the best player and the state’s best team. He has scholarship offers from the likes of TCU and Xavier.
Munir Greig, junior, Coronado
Greig, who ranks as the nation’s No. 29 recruit by 247 Sports, played last season in Pennsylvania.
Amare Oba, senior, Coronado
The Missouri State signee played last season at Skyline Prep in Utah.
Ty Johnson, junior, Bishop Gorman
An elite defender, Johnson averaged eight points and two steals per game last season.

GIRLS
Addysen Carr, junior, Bishop Gorman
Averaged 10 points per game last season in helping Gorman reach the state semifinals.
Keonni Lewis, senior, Democracy Prep
The UNLV signee averaged 12.9 points and 4.7 steals per game last season in helping Democracy Prep reach the state championship game. The guard is the nation’s 85th overall recruit for the class of 2026.
Inieye Oruh, senior, Centennial
The 6-foot-4 forward is committed to Seton Hall. She averaged seven points and five rebounds per game last season.
Bray’Ana Miles, senior, Democracy Prep
The guard averaged 13 points, five rebounds and four assists per game last season.
D’Arrah Mitchell, sophomore, Centennial
The guard had a sensational freshman campaign last season averaging 12 points four steals per game. She was the 5A defensive player of the year.
Aaliah “Lizzy” Spaight, senior, Bishop Gorman
Was the State Player of the Year as a sophomore in 2024, when leading Gorman to the state championship by averaging 17.5 points, 7.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 4.4 steals per game.
Nation Williams, junior, Centennial
Williams is the reigning Gatorade Player of the Year.
