BOSTON – Highlighted by a pair of Big Ten trips and four contests against the Ivy League, the Boston University men’s basketball team has released its 31-game schedule for the 2025-26 season, as announced by 15th-year head coach Joe Jones Wednesday afternoon. In total, the Terriers will host 14 contests at Case Gym.

Season tickets are now available. Ticket plans include all home games for both women’s and men’s basketball throughout the 2025-26 campaign. Links are available at the top of the article for those who wish to renew or purchase season tickets. Single-game tickets will go on sale at a later date.

Starting with the continued rivalry against Northeastern, BU will play 13 non-conference contests before its traditional 18-game league slate. The Terriers will play programs from seven different conferences: the America East, Big Ten, CAA, Ivy League, MAAC, NAC and NEC.

The Terriers will open their 117th season on the road with the short trek to Northeastern on Monday, Nov. 3, and then their first flight to Northwestern in 66 years on Friday, Nov. 7. They will next open the home slate against Brown in their first matchup since 1993 on Wednesday, Nov. 12, and follow up with Merrimack on Saturday, Nov. 15.

Leaving Massachusetts for four contests, BU will face two more Ivy League schools by visiting Columbia (Nov. 18) and renewing the rivalry against Harvard (Nov. 22) as part of the Basketball Hall of Fame Showcase at Mohegan Sun Arena. By joining the Crimson in Connecticut, the Terriers were able to add a visit to Penn State (Nov. 25), who will cap the scheduled doubleheader against Providence. The longest road trip of the season will end at Northern Kentucky (Nov. 29).

In December, the Terriers will conclude the non-conference schedule by hosting VTSU Johnson(Dec. 3), Maine (Dec. 10) and UMass Lowell (Dec. 21) with road games taking place at New Hampshire (Dec. 6) and Dartmouth (Dec. 13). Patriot League play will cap 2025 at Navy on New Year’s Eve. and end at American on Feb. 28.

BU returns three starters from last year’s squad that earned the program’s longest home win streak in 28 years at 11 straight victories. Key returners include 2025 All-Patriot League honoree and junior Kyrone Alexander, who led BU at 12.9 ppg and 5.1 rpg. Graduate student Malcolm Chimezie (8.3 ppg, 5.0 rpg) and junior Michael McNair (10.1 ppg, 40.8 3FG%) are also back alongside All-Rookie Team member Azmar Abdullah (6.8 ppg).
