Pepperdine, finishing 21st in the ITA team rankings last year, will visit the Dairyland to open the season, battling at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (September 11-13). Right after that, the Waves will roll into Tiburon, California for the 125 Tiburon Challenger (Sept. 13-20).
Several more tournaments round out the month of September, beginning with the ITA All-American Championships from the 19th to the 27th in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Pepperdine will return to California for the San Diego 2 series (Sept. 20-27) before making a short trek from Malibu to Thousand Oaks for the Sherwood Collegiate Cup (Sept. 24-27).
The blue and orange will have some crossover heading into October, as the Columbus Challenger and M15 Fayetteville are both from September 27-October 4. A familiar tournament will also occur during that time, as the Battle of the Bay Classic will send Waves to San Francisco from October 1-4.
After a few days off, the blue and orange will return to the courts at the UCSB Invite (Oct. 9-11), hosted by UC Santa Barbara, at the Arnhold Tennis Center. Pepperdine will follow up that by flying south for the M25 Austin (Oct. 12-18) in south-central Texas. The ITA Division I Regional Championships, which are hosted by Pepperdine, begin on October 15 and conclude on the 20th as the Waves simultaneously prepare for several pro tournaments. First up is the Fort Worth 75k Challenger (October 19-25), followed by the M25 Las Vegas in Sin City (October 25-Nov. 1), before wrapping it up with the MarketBeat Open in South Dakota (October 25-Nov. 1).

A pair of ITA tournaments help round out the fall slate, starting in Tempe, Arizona at the ITA West Sectional Championships (Nov. 5-8). Pepperdine will return to San Diego for the SoCal Invitational from Nov. 5-8, the same dates of the ITA Conference Masters.
The Waves went 19-10 last season under Director of Tennis Adam Schaechterle, who enters his ninth season at the helm and his second campaign under his current title. Schaechterle added Max Koller as an assistant coach, with Koller crossing the country after spending time most recently with the Florida Gators.
Pepperdine’s roster will have lots of continuity, with the Waves having lost only Robin Boeckli and Maxi Homberg. Will Steinberg is the lone newcomer, a transfer from UCLA.
