Community responds to help restaurant reopen after electrical fire

Kabob Grill N’ Go reopens after an electrical fire closed the business. Chef Tony Chilingaryan and his wife and co-owner Hasmik received community support.

  • Scoopwell’s Dough Bar, known for its edible cookie dough, has permanently closed all of its locations.
  • The closures were effective August 1, according to an Instagram post from the company.

All four locations of Scoopwell’s Dough Bar closed permanently on August 1, according to an Instagram post from the shop, which served edible cookie dough.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closure of all Scoopwell’s locations, effective immediately. We want to thank everyone that walked through the doors over the course of the last 6 and a half years, without you we wouldn’t have ever had a business to begin with,” stated the post.

John and Kendra Scheer launched Scoopwell’s first brick-and-mortar in Phoenix’s Uptown Plaza in 2019. Another location in downtown Gilbert opened in 2022. Scoopwell’s also served cookie dough at State Farm Stadium and Chase Field during sports games and other events.

All locations have now permanently closed.
