The Miami Dolphins and new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan continue to churn the team’s roster in a continued effort to rebuild the franchise. On Thursday, the organization parted ways with two players while adding two more.

Offensive lineman Braeden Daniels and tight end Jalin Conyers were waived, while running back Carlos Washington Jr. and offensive tackle Marques Cox were signed.

Daniels — formerly a fourth round pick for the Washington Commanders in the 2023 NFL Draft — never played a snap for the Dolphins, but spent time on the team’s practice squad in 2025. Conyers was an undrafted free agent signing of the Dolphins following the 2025 NFL Draft, but spent his entire rookie season on injured reserve.

Cox was also an undrafted free agent last year. He spent time with the Denver Broncos’ and the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squads in 2025.

Washington Jr. has played in two career games in the NFL — both with the Atlanta Falcons who signed him as an undrafted free agent following the 2023 NFL Draft.

From the Dolphins’ team website:

Washington Jr. finished his collegiate career at Southeastern Louisiana (2022) after spending the previous five seasons at New Hampshire (2017-21). He appeared in 45 games with 29 starts throughout his collegiate career, recording 511 rushing attempts for 2,475 yards (4.8 avg.) and 25 touchdowns, in addition to 87 receptions for 611 yards (7.0 avg.) and two scores.
