MIAMI HEAT have made a major trade decision over Jimmy Butler following inside “leaks” during the NBA Christmas Day showcase.
Butler, 35, has been with the Florida side since 2019.
He previously starred for NBA giants Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves and the Philadelphia 76ers.
But rumours are now circulating that Butler could be traded by the Heat very soon.
ESPN claimed on Christmas Day that Butler is hoping to get a move away from his franchise.
He reportedly has his sights set on either the Golden State Warriors or Phoenix Suns.
However, the Heat have now responded to gossip surrounding their star man.
The six-time NBA All-Star is still seen a vital part of their side.
Butler has already led Miami Heat to two NBA finals.
While he remains a god among their fans.
And president Pat Riley has shut down talk of an exit by insisting Butler will NOT be traded any time soon.
He said: “We usually don’t comment on rumours.
“But all this speculation has become a distraction to the team and is not fair to the players and coaches.
“Therefore, we will make it clear — We are not trading Jimmy Butler.”
Butler himself has previously discussed links with a move away from the Heat.
He said earlier this month: “I actually like it. It’s good to be talked about.
“I don’t think there’s such a thing as bad publicity — to a point.”
