Venezuela will face Team USA in the World Baseball Classic final, after it beat Italy at loanDepot Park in Miami tonight.
With both teams aiming to reach a first WBC championship game, it was Italy who took a 2-0 lead after J.J. D’Orazio was walked with the bases loaded and Dante Nori added an RBI groundout in the second inning.
Eugenio Suárez’s solo home run got Venezuela on the board in the fourth inning before a clutch seventh-inning rally decided the game, as Ronald Acuña Jr., Maikel Garcia and Luis Arraez each recorded RBI singles to turn the game on its head.
The final takes place tomorrow, also at loanDepot Park.
