After going undrafted, Miami RedHawks standout Peter Suder has signed a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to NBA Insider Michael Scotto.

A two-way contract allows a player to split time between an NBA team and its G-League affiliate. Teams are allowed to have three players on two-way contracts, separate from their 15-man roster. A player on a two-way contract can be active for a maximum of 50 regular season games and are ineligible for postseason play.

Suder was named the Mid-American Conference Player of the Year last season after helping guide Miami to an undefeated regular season (31-0) and the MAC’s first at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament since 1999.

Miami became just the fifth team since 2000 to end the regular season undefeated and won its first regular season league title in 21 years.

Suder, who spent two seasons at Bellarmine before a two-year stint with Travis Steele’s RedHawks, averaged 14.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4 assists per game. He shot 54.6% from the field overall and 42.1% from 3-point range.

Suder had double-digit pre-draft workouts for Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Golden State, Indiana, the LA Clippers, LA Lakers, New Orleans, San Antonio, Toronto and Utah.
