The class is making its piñatas for members of the community.
MILES, Texas — For Spanish 2 students at Miles High School, making piñatas is a chance to learn Hispanic culture through a hands-on project.
The students putting the piñatas together for members of the Miles community who have placed orders.
The recipients will either hang or break the piñatas.
“I have not done a pinata before,” Miles freshman Kaylee Scott said. “I kind of felt like I was going in a little bit blind. But, the more we did it, the more I enjoyed it.”
The project proved to be popular. Wednesday, the classes ran out materials. By Thursday, the group had to move to a Chemistry lab.
