Of the other finalists, Detroit and Las Vegas have never hosted before. The other cities would be hosting for repeat times.
Fans will have to wait a while for a decision, which will be announced in July, after representatives from each city will present to NCAA committees during the organization’s summer meetings on why they should be selected as a host city for the Final Four.
Minnesota Sports and Events posted on Instagram about Minneapolis being named a finalist city, saying, “We’re honored and excited to be named a finalist to host the NCAA Women’s Final Four. This recognition reflects Minnesota’s passion for women’s sports, our exceptional venues and our proven ability to deliver an unforgettable experience for student-athletes, fans and visitors.”
