The results are in, and the 2026 MLB All-Star starters, pitchers and reserves have been revealed. Despite early vote totals pointing toward a potential World Series rematch between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays among the starters, that will not be the case.

Instead, the starting lineup is a mixture of first-time All-Stars and returning fan-favorites, including Mike Trout, who is an All-Star for the first time since 2023, as well as Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Brandon Marsh, who will be making his first All-Star appearance.

Here’s how the lineups will look, barring changes, on July 14 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

National League starters

Player Team Position All-Star nomination
Los Angeles Dodgers DH 6th
Los Angeles Dodgers 3B 3rd
Washington Nationals SS 2nd
Atlanta Braves 2B 4th
Los Angeles Dodgers 1B 10th
New York Mets OF 5th
Los Angeles Dodgers OF 1st
Philadelphia Phillies OF 1st
Atlanta Braves C 1st

“It’s always a lot of gratitude for me,” National League starter Juan Soto said. “I just fell short last year. Definitely, it kind of just motivated me. I gotta be better. I gotta be better to be with the best of the best in the league. Definitely this year, I came in with a different mentality, and thank God I made it.”

The American League and National League teams will be managed by John Schneider and Dave Roberts, respectively, the skippers of last year’s World Series clubs.

American League starters

Player Team Position All-Star nomination
Houston Astros DH 4th
Tampa Bay Rays 3B 2nd
Kansas City Royals SS 3rd
Toronto Blue Jays 2B 1st
Toronto Blue Jays 1B 6th
Los Angeles Angels OF 12th
Minnesota Twins OF 3rd
New York Yankees OF 8th
Athletics C 1st

As part of the Fourth of July announcement, MLB also revealed its list of reserves. Of note, Bryce Harper is a “Legend” pick, meaning he was selected by commissioner Rob Manfred to be included in the All-Star festivities. Last year, that honor went to Clayton Kershaw, who retired at the end of the season.

NL reserve players

Player Team Position All-Star nomination
Philadelphia Phillies 1B 9th
Atlanta Braves 1B 4th
San Francisco Giants 2B 4th
Cincinnati Reds 3B 1st
Miami Marlins SS 1st
Milwaukee Brewers C 3rd
Colorado Rockies C 2nd
Arizona Diamondbacks OF 3rd
Chicago Cubs OF 2nd
St. Louis Cardinals OF 1st
Washington Nationals OF 2nd
Philadelphia Phillies DH 4th

Pitchers and reserves are decided by player ballots, as well as by the commissioner’s office. Player ballots determine 17 players for each league (eight pitchers, five starters and three relievers) and backup players for each position. MLB decides the remaining six players (four pitchers and two position players) and ensures that every team has at least one representative.

AL reserve players

Player Team Position All-Star nomination
New York Yankees 1B 1st
Athletics 1B 1st
Cleveland Guardians 2B 1st
Chicago White Sox 3B 1st
Detroit Tigers SS 1st
Detroit Tigers C 1st
Baltimore Orioles C 3rd
Seattle Mariners OF 3rd
New York Yankees OF 3rd
Detroit Tigers OF 3rd
Tampa Bay Rays DH 2nd

As far as the selected pitchers, the NL side is a hodgepodge of the Cy Young Award race, with the likes of Jacob Misiorowski, Cristopher Sánchez and Chris Sale all selected. Paul Skenes, despite his 3.62 ERA, was also named to the team. Notably absent: Phillies veteran Zack Wheeler.

NL pitching staff

Philadelphia Phillies SP 2nd
Pittsburgh Pirates SP 3rd
San Francisco Giants SP 3rd
Los Angeles Dodgers SP 2nd
Philadelphia Phillies CL 1st
Atlanta Braves CL 1st
San Diego Padres CL 2nd

The AL side is full of multiple first-timers, from Cam Schlittler of the New York Yankees to Dylan Cease of the Blue Jays.

Toronto Blue Jays SP 1st
Cleveland Guardians SP 1st
Tampa Bay Rays SP 2nd
Minnesota Twins SP 2nd
New York Yankees SP 1st
Boston Red Sox SP 2nd
Kansas City Royals SP 2nd
Cleveland Guardians CL 1st
Toronto Blue Jays CL 1st
Tampa Bay Rays CL 1st
Texas Rangers CL 1st
Boston Red Sox CL 9th

With 10 days between now and the All-Star Game, expect these rosters to experience some turnover. For instance, Misiorowski is unlikely to pitch, thus opening up a spot for another pitcher, and Aaron Judge remains on the injured list.

— Will Sammon contributed to this report.
