MLB Best Bets and Props
Another glorious Saturday of baseball awaits us with wall-to-wall games from 1:10 p.m. to 10:07 p.m. ET, including the London Series between the Mets and Phillies We have 15 games on the slate, giving us plenty of options for MLB best bets and props.
Below are two of my MLB best bets for Saturday, June 8, but be sure to price shop for the best odds available to you at the time of viewing.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. New York Yankees

Nestor Cortes is having a rock-solid season thus far, posting a respectable 3.49 ERA and 1.09 WHIP over 75 ⅓ innings.
However, the 29-year-old has been inefficient of late:
- 4 ⅓ innings (95 pitches) at Giants
- 5 ⅓ innings (88 pitches) at Angels
- 5 innings (97 pitches) vs Mariners
This is a concern heading into a matchup versus a Dodgers lineup that has been feasting on southpaws this season. Over the last 30 days, Los Angeles is batting .293 with an .884 OPS, .238 ISO, and a .372 wOBA against left-handed pitching.
They have also been hitting the ball extremely hard during that stretch, boasting a 46.2% hard hit rate with 16.2% barrels per plate appearance. All of this while carrying elite plate discipline metrics like a 25.8% chase rate and 9% swinging strike rate.
The smart money is to bank on Cortes inefficiency to continue this weekend, and the best way to do that is backing the Under on his Outs prop.

Colorado Rockies vs. St.Louis Cardinals

After a slow start, the Cardinals have been low-key terrorizing right-handed pitching over the last month. During that stretch St.Louis ranks first among MLB teams in OBP (.340), second in wRC+ (126), third in walk rate (9.5%), and fifth in slugging percentage (.442).
On Saturday they take on Rockies right-hander Ryan Feltner, who has been having a rough season so far. The 27-year-old has conceded at least three runs in five of his last seven starts away from Coors Field.
Feltner owns a 4.52 FIP on the road in 2024 with a lowly 11.7% K-BB rate and a 1.38 HR/9.
All of the data above makes Feltner’s earned run line of 2.5 on Saturday stand out at plus-money.
