Gear up for another exciting edition of the daily roundup to stay updated with happenings in our beloved sport over the last 24 hours. To start today’s list, we will talk about Jon Jones. The heavyweight champion laid bare his plans after the Stipe Miocic fight.

Then, we will turn our attention to ‘The Pitbull’ Andrei Arlovski. Apparently, the two-decade-long tenured veteran never knew about Dana White‘s call for the end of his UFC run. Finally, the compilation will end with Michael Chandler, who in the wake of the fight against Conor McGregor blowing up, threatened the Irishman of snubbing him for an alternate lucrative fight.

Jon Jones could consider his options after fighting the 2-time HW champion

Jon Jones’s fight against Stipe Miocic is going to go down, but when? Having talked in the past about retiring soon, some fans needed to be sure if that’s what Jones has decided to do. But recently, ‘Bones’ revealed to have been thinking about it, and claimed that his performance against Miocic will play a key factor in his decision going forward. Meanwhile, Tom Aspinall, being the interim champion, many believe him to be the next challenger, but guess what? Alex Pereira has recently emerged as a potential heavyweight contender as well.

What do you think of Dana White’s decision regarding Andrei Arlovski?

The 205-pound champion has even mentioned moving to heavyweight in the future. So what this situation is doing for Jon Jones is creating options for him. He understands the noise that will be generated from both of these fights and wants time to consider it. Which way do you think he’s going to go? Because ‘Bones’ has already started a conversation about fighting Alex Pereira. Can Tom Aspinall get hold of this legendary fight? It all depends on Dana White, who recently gave a rather unfitting farewell to another UFC heavyweight legend.

Andrei Arlovsi was unaware of his UFC departure

Former UFC heavyweight champion, who defeated Tim Sylvia to win the title, Andrei Arlovski, departed from the UFC after almost an 18-year-long run. Being a part of the promotion for nearly two decades should warrant a proper farewell, which most of us would think. But when Dana White announced that ‘The Pitbull’ had fought his last inside the Octagon at the UFC 303 post-fight presser, it totally took Arlovski by surprise. He shared a post on Instagram, confirming the departure news, while wondering why the UFC CEO chose to take that press conference route.

Andre Arlovski stated in his caption, “I didn’t want to finish my [journey] in the UFC like that, but it is – what it is ….. And yes, I’m not B*TCHING, just wondering how come???” Arlovski joined the UFC when he was in his early 20s, capturing the interim heavyweight strap (later promoted to undisputed champion) just a day after his 26th birthday. It will be interesting to see where he lands next, with PFL as a potential option. Now, let’s take a look at our final piece of news for this roundup edition, involving Michael Chandler and a title shot.

Michael Chandler reveals getting a title shot while waiting for Conor McGregor

‘Iron’ has made some stunning revelations after his fight against Conor McGregor blew up just days before UFC 303. Recently, Michael Chandler posted a tweet, where he claimed that Dana White had offered him to take on Islam Makhachev during the fall, October, to be exact. The lightweight champion has mentioned wanting to fight in November so he may not hesitate returning a month earlier. However, Chandler is still waiting on McGregor.

Michael Chandler claimed that he is willing to wait a couple of months, but only if Conor McGregor can guarantee his comeback by September. That could give them the opportunity to compete in the $2.3 billion Sphere in Las Vegas. However, if that doesn’t happen, Chandler could go for the title. Currently, ranked 7th in the lightweight rankings, ‘Iron’ may not fit the resume because he hasn’t had a winning steak nor has he fought in nearly two years. It could be a desperate attempt to get the ‘red panty night’, but if it is the truth, we could be in for a surprise in October.
