UFC Fight Nights at the Meta APEX are getting increasingly rare, thankfully, so much so that I forgot which event number we’re up to this coming weekend (120). But make no mistake about it – this Saturday’s event is definitely APEX slop. For my MMA Underdog Pick of the Week: UFC Vegas 120, I’ve got a live dog debuting on the prelims. Let’s get it on, c’mon!

MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: UFC Vegas 120
UFC Fight Night: Gamrot vs Salkilld (aka UFC Vegas 120)
Start Time: 5:00 PM EST
I sound like a broken record, but Saturday brings us another chalky card in a year of chalky UFC fight cards. I only like two underdogs in the 12-fight lineup, and I’m not totally sold on either of them.
But I do like the debuting Richie Miranda as a prospect. The LFA champ is a gritty, well-rounded fighter with plenty of high-level experience. He’s a dog who is impossible to put away. He’s also on a roll, winning seven straight fights (his pro record is 13-1). The problem is his opponent on Saturday, Manoel Sousa, has scary, one-touch knockout power. Let’s hope Miranda stays safe and drags this fight into deep waters.
