MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – It was beautiful weather Saturday for a very popular event in downtown Mobile.
The Mobile Latin Fest took place at Mardi Gras Park for a whole day of fun, dance, food, and culture.
Our Vanessa Pacheco was the emcee for the event.
Everyone attending seemed to like the food because it was everywhere.
There was a lot for festival-goers to enjoy.
One festival-goer we talked to said, “My favorite part is the music, because its not really often that you hear traditional bands like this live in a place like Alabama. So I love every year to come out and just dance to the music and hear the music and eat the food”
The event is a fundraiser for the Hispanic American Business Association of the Gulf Coast.
It provides scholarships for the local Hispanic students in addition to being a celebration as part of Hispanic Heritage Month.
