Westchester County has had some of the most fatalities in New York between Christmas and New Year’s, according to a report released by TruckInfo.net.
Using data sourced from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, TruckInfo.net has compiled a list of the most dangerous roads to travel on nationally and statewide as well as how many fatalities each county experienced between Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 from 2003-2022.

- Hillside Avenue in Queens County
- I-95 Cross Bronx Expressway in Bronx County
- Peninsula Boulevard in Nassau County
- Rockaway Boulevard in Queens County
- Rockaway Parkway in Kings County
- State Route 17A in Orange County
- State Route 20A in Wyoming County
- State Route 22 in Dutchess County
- State Route 24 in Nassau County
- State Route 27 in Suffolk County

New York had 511 fatalities between Christmas and New Year’s from 2003-2022, according to TruckInfo.net. Here’s which counties had the most:
- Suffolk County: 60
- Kings County: 62
- Queens County: 40
- Nassau County: 36
- Erie County: 30
- Westchester County: 26
- Bronx County: 24
- Orange County: 20
- New York County: 18
- Monroe, Niagara and Oneida counties: 12
